Private Jet vs Charter Flight

What's the difference—and which is right for your trip in Israel?

Are they the same thing?

In everyday use, "private jet" and "charter flight" often overlap. Both mean you're hiring an aircraft for your exclusive use. The difference is mostly in wording: "private jet" usually means a jet aircraft; "charter flight" can mean any chartered aircraft—jet, turboprop, or helicopter.

Private jet

When we say "private jet rental," we mean chartering a jet (light or midsize) for your trip. You get the whole aircraft, your schedule, and your route. No commercial airline, no shared cabin.

Charter flight

"Charter flight" is the broader term: you charter (hire) an aircraft. That aircraft can be a jet, a helicopter, or another type. So every private jet flight is a charter flight, but not every charter flight is a jet—helicopter charter is also a charter flight.

Which should you choose?

Choose by need: for longer or faster point-to-point trips, a private jet is typical. For short hops, city transfers, or scenic flights, helicopter charter is often better. When you request a quote, select "Jet," "Helicopter," or "Charter" and we'll match you with the right option.
